[Remote] Director of Performance Marketing

They are seeking a Director of Performance Marketing to lead data-driven marketing initiatives, overseeing acquisition, engagement, and retention campaigns across various channels, while managing budgets and analyzing performance metrics.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the planning, execution, and optimization of acquisition, engagement, and retention campaigns across digital and traditional channels, including paid media, search, social, email, and affiliate programs
  • Develop and manage performance marketing strategies, own key growth and ROI metrics, and work closely with brand, product, and content teams to align campaigns with programming and release schedules
  • Build and manage budgets, forecast performance, analyze campaign results, and present insights and recommendations to senior leadership
  • Manage agency and vendor relationships, lead a small marketing team, and continuously test new channels, creatives, and tactics to drive measurable growth

Skills

  • Strong foundation in Marketing, with proven experience in performance marketing, growth marketing, or digital marketing leadership roles
  • Expertise in Market Planning and Marketing Management, including budgeting, forecasting, campaign orchestration, and cross-channel media planning
  • Proficiency in Market Research, audience segmentation, and competitive analysis to inform strategy and optimize campaign performance
  • Experience collaborating with Sales teams to align performance marketing initiatives with revenue goals, distribution strategies, and partner campaigns
  • Demonstrated ability to work with analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, marketing attribution platforms, BI dashboards) and to interpret data into actionable insights
  • Proven leadership experience managing and mentoring marketing professionals and coordinating work with agencies and external partners
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence decisions using data and clear reasoning
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field; an advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., digital marketing, analytics) are a plus
  • Background in media, entertainment
