[Remote] AI Forward Deployed Engineer

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Harnham is partnering with a high-growth consulting group delivering cutting-edge AI solutions to enterprise clients. The Senior GenAI Engineer (Forward Deployed) will build production-grade GenAI applications, working directly with stakeholders to design, deploy, and scale solutions while applying core ML and MLOps principles.

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy GenAI applications using enterprise data (RAG systems, LLM integrations)
• Build scalable architectures including vector databases and retrieval pipelines
• Develop and optimise end-to-end workflows for LLM applications
• Implement CI/CD, MLOps best practices, and production monitoring
• Partner with clients to scope solutions, explain trade-offs, and guide adoption
• Mentor teams transitioning from traditional ML to GenAI-focused delivery

Skills

• 5+ years in AI/ML engineering, data engineering, or related
• Hands-on experience building GenAI or RAG systems in production
• Strong experience with a modern data platform (e.g. Spark-based environment, ML lifecycle tools)
• Python expertise with LLM frameworks (LangChain or similar)
• Experience with vector databases (e.g. FAISS, Pinecone, Weaviate, Chroma)
• Strong client-facing communication skills
• Experience with agent frameworks or orchestration tools
• Exposure to ML lifecycle tooling (e.g. experiment tracking, model management)
• Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Relevant certifications in data, ML, or AI engineering
