[Remote] Key Account Manager, Lumber & Bldg. Materials (remote)
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. ROCKWOOL Group is currently seeking a Key Account Manager for the Lumber and Building Materials Channel to join their Sales team. The role involves developing national business plans, leveraging data for market growth, and building strong customer relationships.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a national business plan aligned with national sales strategy and organizational objectives
- Identify emerging market trends, competitive threats, and growth opportunities using data-driven insights
- Partner with marketing, finance, and product teams to shape go-to-market strategies and optimize LBM Channel performance
- Leverage CRM and business intelligence tools such as Power BI, to analyze performance, track KPIs, and drive decision-making
- Translate sales data into actionable insights to optimize territory coverage, pricing, and channel mix
- Use predictive analytics to improve forecasting accuracy and optimize sales productivity
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key LBM Channel customers, distributors, and strategic partners
- Represent the company in regional and national market activities, trade shows, and strategic customer reviews
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders (marketing, operations, supply chain) to ensure customer excellence
- Identify and champion opportunities to digitize sales processes and enhance data utilization
- Support implementation of new tools and dashboards that improve efficiency
- Contribute to company-wide initiatives that transform the sales organization into a strategic, insight-led function
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Business
- 5–10 years of experience within the LBM Channel, preferably in a multi-region, B2B environment
- Strong relationships and expertise in the building materials sector
- Proven ability to develop and execute strategic sales plans using data and analytics
- Demonstrated success working through change and digital transformation
- Strong analytical mindset with experience using CRM and BI tools
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills
- Minimum of three years of National Accounts experience
- Ability to travel 50%, nationally
- MBA preferred
