You will work closely with internal stakeholders, external partners, and government agencies to maintain compliance, optimize workflows, and support arenaflex’s reputation as a trusted logistics provider.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide impeccable customer service by responding promptly to client inquiries and proactively addressing concerns.
  • Enter, verify, and maintain customs clearance data from a variety of sources, including spreadsheets, SOPs, tariff books, web portals, and customs filings.
  • Organize and process import‑related documentation required for U.S. Customs compliance, collaborating with all relevant government agencies.
  • Maintain up‑to‑date shipment records in accordance with internal record‑keeping standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure strict adherence to all international import and export regulations, including Incoterms, trade agreements, and security protocols.
  • Collaborate with internal teams—operations, finance, sales, and technology—to deliver a high level of service to customers and partners.
  • Process corporate financial shipments, including invoicing, payment reconciliation, and reporting.
  • Handle remote filings and electronic submissions to customs authorities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Uphold all company policies and hierarchical procedures, promoting a culture of compliance and continuous improvement.
  • Utilize multiple software platforms and reference materials to resolve complex trade issues and support cross‑functional initiatives.
  • Perform additional duties or special projects as assigned, contributing to the overall success of arenaflex’s remote operations.

Essential Qualifications

  • High School Diploma (HS) or GED required; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of six months of relevant work experience in data entry, logistics, or a related field (experience is a plus, not a strict requirement).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with data‑entry platforms such as Viewpoint or similar tools.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and professionally.
  • Demonstrated critical‑thinking abilities and problem‑solving skills, especially when handling high‑volume, time‑sensitive tasks.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of accuracy and accountability.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with customers, carriers, brokers, government agencies, and internal teams.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience with customs brokerage software, import/export documentation, or international trade compliance.
  • Knowledge of U.S. Customs regulations, tariff classifications, and trade compliance best practices.
  • Familiarity with remote work tools (e.g., video conferencing, project management platforms, cloud storage).
  • Prior exposure to logistics or supply‑chain environments, especially in a remote or distributed team setting.
  • Certification in logistics, trade compliance, or related fields (e.g., Certified Customs Specialist).

Core Competencies for Success

  • Attention to Detail: Precision in data entry and documentation is critical to avoid costly compliance errors.
  • Organizational Agility: Ability to juggle multiple shipments, deadlines, and stakeholder requests without compromising quality.
  • Customer‑Centric Mindset: Proactively anticipate client needs and deliver solutions that enhance satisfaction.
