Key Responsibilities
Interviewing and Information Gathering
- Conduct telephone-based interviews with insurance applicants to obtain accurate health history and personal information.
- Ensure all incoming work is assigned, tracked, and completed within the same business day to meet service level commitments.
- Maintain strict adherence to confidentiality agreements and promote professionalism in every interaction.
- Build rapport quickly with applicants from diverse backgrounds, demonstrating empathy, active listening, and respect.
- Accurately document and verify collected information, escalating discrepancies as appropriate.
Customer Service Excellence
- Serve as the primary point of contact for incoming telephone calls from field offices, agents, brokers, applicants, and clients.
- Respond promptly and courteously to inquiries, providing accurate information about processes, requirements, and timelines.
- Handle customer complaints with patience, tact, and a solutions-focused mindset, escalating complex issues to team leads or supervisors as needed.
- Support arenaflex's mission to develop, enhance, and promote quality customer service through consistent team effort.
- Exhibit flexibility, sensitivity, and respect in all interactions, fostering a working relationship with team members and external stakeholders.
Training, Mentorship, and Team Development
- Act as a mentor and resource for teammates, answering questions about process, system functionality, and best practices.
- Assist in training new employees and cross-training team members on additional positions as directed.
- Participate in professional development programs and attend training sessions to maintain certifications and continually improve skills.
- Provide input and support to management on practice decisions, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
Professional Image and Operational Support
- Exhibit a polished, professional demeanor at all times while representing arenaflex.
- Set and review personal goals and objectives for ongoing professional growth.
- Contribute to special projects and other duties as assigned by management or the Director of Operations.
Essential Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Solid critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to logically determine next steps.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively as a team member with co-workers.

Preferred Qualifications
- At least six months of customer service experience, preferably in a call center, healthcare, or insurance environment.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and a basic understanding of the paramedical process.
- Prior experience in a remote or telework position.
- Experience mentoring or training peers.

Work Schedule and Environment
This is a part-time, remote position requiring 25–29 hours per week. Interviewers at arenaflex enjoy the flexibility of working from home while remaining connected to a supportive, team-oriented culture. Day-to-day work involves sitting for extended periods while using a computer, monitor, and keyboard. Occasional lifting of up to 10 pounds may be required. You will report directly to Team Leads, Supervisors, Managers, and/or the Director of Operations, with regular opportunities for feedback and performance discussions.
Remote Work Requirements
- Desktop or laptop computer running Windows 10 or newer (Chromebooks, iPads, and tablets are not supported).
- A second monitor is required prior to your start date.
- High-speed internet connection that can be hard-wired via Ethernet (Wi-Fi cannot be used for this position).
- Quality headset for clear audio communication.
- A quiet, dedicated office space in the home free from distractions during scheduled shifts.
