Legal Assistant/Paralegal (PA Remote) - Established Boutique Construction Law Firm Seeking a remote Legal Assistant/Paralegal for Construction and Real Estate Law matters in Philadelphia, PA! A boutique firm based in the Philadelphia, PA area with founding attorneys who bring over 25+ years of construction law experience is seeking a Legal Assistant/Paralegal with 3-5+ years of experience to join their team on a fully remote basis. This firm serves as outside general counsel for clients across the construction and real estate industries, handling both transactional and litigation matters including contract negotiation, mechanic's lien claims, surety bond disputes, insurance coverage, defect and delay claims, land use, title disputes, and regulatory compliance. This is a blended support role combining administrative coordination with substantive paralegal work, making it a strong opportunity for someone who wants to grow, collaborate with a tight-knit team, and work autonomously in a remote environment. Offer: Salary range: $60,000-$75,000+, contingent on experience plus bonus opportunities Paid time off and holidays Flexible fully remote work arrangement Genuine room to grow into expanded paralegal responsibilities over time Collaborative, supportive team culture with direct access to experienced construction law attorneys Qualifications: 3-5+ years of combined experience in legal administrative support and paralegal work within a law firm or legal department Comfortable wearing multiple hats and shifting between administrative coordination and substantive case support Familiarity with litigation and transactional workflows, including document preparation, filing, and case management Strong understanding of court filing procedures, e-filing systems, and calendaring across state and federal courts Ability to draft and organize correspondence, pleadings, discovery materials, and basic transactional documents Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple attorney calendars, deadlines, and competing priorities Self-motivated and dependable, with the discipline to work autonomously in a fully remote setting Strong written and verbal communication skills and a high level of attention to detail Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, legal case management software, and legal research tools such as Westlaw or LexisNexis Prior exposure to construction law, real estate law, or commercial litigation is a plus but not required Responsibilities: Manage and maintain attorney calendars, scheduling depositions, hearings, mediations, and client meetings across active matters Coordinate court filings, service of process, and document production in both state and federal courts Draft, format, and proofread legal documents, correspondence, discovery materials, and transactional paperwork for attorney review Organize and maintain electronic case files, ensuring all records are current, properly indexed, and accessible Track deadlines, statutes of limitations, and key litigation milestones using calendaring and docketing systems Assist with legal research on construction statutes, mechanic's lien requirements, and related regulatory issues Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, opposing counsel, courts, and third-party vendors Support billing, time entry, and invoice preparation as needed Take on growing paralegal responsibilities over time as experience and familiarity with the firm's practice develop - For this position, you must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship for a non-immigrant visa.
