About arenaflex

arenaflex is a globally recognized Christian humanitarian organization dedicated to transforming the lives of children, families, and entire communities. With a presence in more than 100 countries, arenaflex partners with local leaders to address the root causes of poverty, injustice, and suffering. Our mission is driven by faith, compassion, and a commitment to sustainable development, delivering programs that span disaster relief, education, health, clean water, and economic empowerment. As a seasonal member of our Donor Contact Services team, you will become an integral voice of arenaflex, helping donors experience the impact of their generosity while embodying the organization’s core values.

Position Summary

This full‑time, remote, seasonal role runs from October 21 through December 31 and is open to qualified candidates residing in any U.S. state that observes Pacific Time. You will join a dynamic call‑center environment, completing a paid three‑week training program before moving into an eight‑hour shift that can be scheduled anytime between 6:00 AM and 8:00 PM Pacific. The role is designed for individuals who thrive on meaningful conversation, enjoy helping others, and are comfortable balancing inbound and occasional outbound calls in a high‑volume setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for arenaflex donors, representing the organization with professionalism, empathy, and a Christ‑centered attitude.
  • Answer inbound calls and, when appropriate, place outbound calls to current and prospective donors, responding to inquiries about arenaflex programs, the Gift Catalog, and donation options.
  • Identify and act on upsell opportunities, cross‑selling additional arenaflex initiatives such as disaster relief, education scholarships, and clean‑water projects.
  • Demonstrate active listening, accurately capture donor information using ten‑key entry, and maintain data integrity within arenaflex’s CRM system.
  • Achieve individual performance metrics—including call handling time, accuracy, and donor satisfaction scores—to support overall call‑center goals.
  • Research donor questions using internal resources, respond promptly, and follow up as needed to ensure a seamless experience.
  • Utilize arenaflex’s technology platforms to update donor records, process gifts, and generate reports.
  • Accept constructive feedback, participate in coaching sessions, and continuously improve call techniques.
  • Maintain a prayerful and compassionate demeanor, offering spiritual encouragement when appropriate and aligning conversations with arenaflex’s mission.
  • Collaborate with teammates, share best practices, and contribute to a supportive, mission‑driven work culture.
  • Adhere to arenaflex policies, procedures, and ethical standards, seeking clarification whenever necessary.
  • Perform any additional duties assigned by supervisors that support the success of the Donor Contact Services team.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • At least one year of experience in customer service, sales, or a call‑center environment (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Minimum typing speed of 20 words per minute with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Reliable high‑speed internet (minimum 25 Mbps download, 6 Mbps upload) and a quiet, distraction‑free workspace.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including proper grammar and clear articulation.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed during challenging calls and to manage repetitive tasks without loss of quality.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience with Microsoft 365 suite (Outlook, Word, Teams) and a demonstrated ability to learn new software quickly.
  • Proven problem‑solving abilities, innovative thinking, and the capacity to multitask while maintaining speed and accuracy.
  • Flexibility to adapt to shifting schedules, call volumes, and evolving donor needs.
  • Demonstrated empathy and active‑listening skills, especially when engaging with donors who may be experiencing hardship.
  • A heartfelt passion for sharing God’s love and a desire to integrate faith into everyday work interactions.
  • Previous exposure to nonprofit or mission‑driven environments is a plus.

Compensation, Benefits & Work Schedule

The hourly wage range for this seasonal position is $16.56 – $23.06, with a typical hiring range of $19 – $21 per hour. Pay is determined based on geographic location, relevant experience, and arenaflex’s internal pay‑equity guidelines. This role does not include traditional benefits, but you will receive a paid training period and the opportunity to earn performance‑based incentives.

Training Schedule: October 21 through November 8, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM Pacific, Monday‑Friday.

Post‑Training Shift: Eight‑hour shifts scheduled anywhere between 6:00 AM – 8:00 PM Pacific, with two 15‑minute breaks and a 30‑minute lunch. Shift selection is based on seniority through a shift‑bid system.

  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of arenaflex’s global programs and the impact of donor contributions.
  • Develop advanced call‑center techniques, including persuasive communication, data entry accuracy, and conflict resolution.
  • Receive ongoing coaching, performance reviews, and access to a library of resources covering donor stewardship, Christian leadership, and professional development.
  • Build a network of mission‑focused colleagues that can serve as mentors for future full‑time or leadership roles within arenaflex.
