arenaflex is seeking enthusiastic, customer‑focused individuals to join our team as Temporary Customer Service Associates. This role is the heartbeat of our retail locations, ensuring every guest leaves with a smile and a memorable experience. As a temporary associate, you will rotate through key front‑line duties, from checkout to merchandising, while embodying the arenaflex commitment to service excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Experience & Interaction

  • Greet every guest with genuine enthusiasm, maintaining eye contact and a friendly demeanor.
  • Proactively identify customer needs, offering assistance, product recommendations, and solutions that exceed expectations.
  • Handle inquiries, resolve concerns, and ensure each interaction ends with a satisfied customer.
  • Model and share best‑practice service habits with teammates, reinforcing the arenaflex service traits of proactive help, need identification, and complete satisfaction.

Point‑of‑Sale Operations

  • Operate assigned cash registers accurately, processing sales, returns, voids, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges.
  • Collect cash, dispense change, and maintain a balanced drawer throughout each shift.
  • Recommend complementary or higher‑margin items, driving incremental sales while maintaining a consultative approach.
  • Adhere to all state and local regulations concerning regulated products such as alcoholic beverages and tobacco.

Merchandising & Store Maintenance

  • Keep counters, aisles, and shelves clean, organized, and fully stocked, following the first‑in‑first‑out (FIFO) inventory method.
  • Assist with pricing, receiving, and inventory checks as directed by the store manager or shift leader.
  • Construct and refresh promotional displays, seasonal setups, and super‑structure merchandising.
  • Support food safety protocols by separating raw and pre‑cooked items, and placing products according to policy.

Specialized Service Areas

  • Provide photo‑center assistance, including digital passport photos, poster printing, and creative machine operations.
  • Suggest and upsell promotional photo products, enhancing the guest’s experience and store revenue.
  • Manage web‑pick‑up orders: monitor incoming requests, pick items accurately, and deliver completed orders to waiting guests.
  • Participate in exterior and interior store upkeep, ensuring a tidy, inviting environment for both customers and teammates.

Compliance & Asset Protection

  • Implement arenaflex asset protection procedures to minimize shrinkage and safeguard store profitability.
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies, local laws, and safety standards.
  • Document and report any irregularities or potential losses promptly to management.

Training & Personal Development

  • Attend scheduled training sessions, completing all required Performance and Learning (PPL) modules.
  • Seek out coaching opportunities, applying new skills to improve daily performance.
  • Participate in special projects or assignments as directed, contributing fresh ideas and solutions.

Essential Qualifications

  • Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico where local language requirements apply).
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate cash registers and handle monetary transactions accurately.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a natural ability to engage and assist diverse customers.
  • Basic knowledge of store systems, point‑of‑sale software, and retail equipment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least six months of experience in a retail or customer‑service environment.
  • Prior experience working for arenaflex or a similar large‑scale retailer.
  • Familiarity with regulated product handling (e.g., age‑verified sales).
  • Experience in photo‑center services or web‑order fulfillment is a plus.
