Position Overview – Member Benefits Advisor (Remote)

The Member Benefits Advisor at arenaflex serves as the front line of our member experience. You will handle inbound inquiries, resolve concerns, and educate policyholders on the value of both insurance and supplemental products. Your role is pivotal in reinforcing the arenaflex brand, driving member satisfaction, and contributing to long‑term retention. After an intensive 60‑day on‑site training program, you will transition to a fully remote schedule, allowing you to work from any location while maintaining the high standards of service that define arenaflex.

Key Responsibilities

  • Answer incoming, non‑complex calls from policyholders, group members, and other stakeholders with professionalism, empathy, and adherence to quality metrics.
  • Accurately update and maintain billing, eligibility, and member information within the arenaflex administrative system.
  • Process member requests—such as policy changes, coverage inquiries, and claim status updates—in strict compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Stay current on product offerings, policy updates, and promotional initiatives to provide accurate information and identify cross‑sell opportunities.
  • Document interactions thoroughly, ensuring that all notes reflect the conversation and any follow‑up actions required.
  • Collaborate with team members to share success stories, customer feedback, and improvement ideas that enhance the overall member experience.
  • Participate in ongoing training, coaching sessions, and special projects that support arenaflex’s strategic objectives.
  • Utilize soft‑sales techniques to introduce members to additional benefits that align with their needs, while maintaining a consultative approach.

Essential Qualifications

Education & Certification

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional coursework in business, communications, or related fields is a plus.

Experience

  • Minimum of two years’ experience in a high‑volume customer service or call‑center environment.
  • Prior experience handling insurance or benefits inquiries is advantageous; candidates with claims experience may be eligible for a Level II position after successful training.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Solid understanding of customer service principles, best practices, and conflict resolution techniques.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and comfort navigating web‑based CRM platforms.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, evolving environment while maintaining composure under pressure.
  • Strong interpersonal skills that enable effective teamwork and independent work when required.

Preferred Attributes

  • Experience with insurance policy administration, eligibility verification, or claims processing.
