As a Remote Part‑Time Data Entry Assistant at arenaflex, you will become the trusted guardian of price integrity, ensuring that every promotional, clearance, and permanent price change is captured flawlessly in our proprietary arenaflex pricing platform (formerly known as Oracle Retail and SAP ecommerce). Your meticulous work will directly influence sales performance, margin protection, and the overall health of the business.

Key Responsibilities – What You’ll Do Every Day

  • Process Price Change Requests: Review, validate, and enter all price change requests submitted by the merchant organization, ensuring compliance with internal guidelines and regulatory standards.
  • Detect Discrepancies: Leverage a keen eye for detail to spot inconsistencies, out‑of‑range values, or data entry errors before they impact the live system.
  • Manage Complex Promotions: Understand the intricacies of multi‑level promotional pricing, including buy‑one‑get‑one, tiered discounts, and seasonal markdowns, and accurately reflect them in the arenaflex pricing platform.
  • Update Cost and Price Information: Enter store‑submitted cost changes, maintain up‑to‑date cost‑to‑price ratios, and ensure that pricing reflects the latest supplier agreements.
  • Collaborate with Accounts Payable (AP): Work closely with the AP team to reopen purchase orders (POs) for invoice submission, guaranteeing that financial records align with pricing updates.
  • Generate and Review Weekly Reports: Produce comprehensive weekly price change reports, analyze trends, and communicate findings to merchants, store managers, and senior leadership.
  • Support Item Maintenance: Assist with ad‑hoc requests for item creation, attribute updates, and data cleansing activities across the arenaflex catalog.
  • Cross‑Division Flexibility: While primarily supporting General Merchandise, you will be cross‑trained to assist other business divisions throughout the fiscal year, broadening your retail expertise.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline data entry workflows, propose automation ideas, and contribute to the evolution of arenaflex’s pricing governance processes.

Essential Qualifications – What We Require

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution (any discipline).
  • 1–2 years of professional experience in data entry, pricing administration, or a related retail operations role.
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, especially advanced Excel functions (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, data validation).
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically, solve problems proactively, and operate with a self‑motivated mindset.
