As a forward‑thinking, inclusive, and employee‑centric organization, arenaflex invests heavily in talent development, flexible work models, and a culture that celebrates curiosity, collaboration, and continuous learning.

Why This Role Matters

In today’s data‑rich environment, the ability to design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines is a strategic advantage. As a Senior Data Analyst at arenaflex, you will be at the heart of our analytics engine, shaping the way data moves across the enterprise, ensuring its quality, and delivering insights that influence critical business decisions. Whether you are working from Dallas, Texas, or any remote location across the United States, you will have the autonomy to manage your schedule, choose the projects that excite you, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams that span business analysis, project management, data engineering, and software development.

Key Responsibilities – What You’ll Own and Deliver

  • Partner with business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into scalable data models, including relational, star‑schema, and multi‑dimensional designs.
  • Develop, test, and maintain high‑performance SQL scripts that extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from diverse sources such as Oracle, Teradata, Snowflake, Azure Data Lake, and Vertica.
  • Design and implement data pipelines using modern technologies like Palantir Foundry, PySpark, and Python, ensuring reliability, fault tolerance, and optimal performance.
  • Construct and curate comprehensive data dictionaries, metadata repositories, and documentation that describe data lineage, business rules, and technical specifications.
  • Lead data quality initiatives: define validation rules, perform root‑cause analysis of data anomalies, and drive remediation processes to maintain data integrity.
  • Build analytical dashboards, ad‑hoc reports, and automated KPI tracking mechanisms that empower business users to make data‑driven decisions.
  • Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to provision clean, well‑structured datasets for advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI projects.
  • Monitor and tune data pipelines for performance, cost efficiency, and scalability, leveraging cloud‑native tools and best practices.
  • Mentor junior analysts and data engineers, sharing best practices in SQL optimization, data modeling, and pipeline orchestration.
  • Stay abreast of emerging data technologies, industry trends, and regulatory changes, recommending enhancements that keep arenaflex at the forefront of data innovation.

Essential Qualifications – What You Must Bring

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience designing and implementing complex SQL‑based ETL processes, preferably in a large‑scale enterprise environment.
  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of SQL, relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL), and data‑warehouse platforms such as Teradata, Snowflake, or Vertica.
  • Programming Skills: Proficiency in Python and PySpark for data manipulation, transformation, and pipeline development.
  • Data Modeling Expertise: Demonstrated ability to create logical and physical data models, including star schemas, snowflake schemas, and normalized designs.
  • Analytical Acumen: Strong problem‑solving skills, with a track record of applying scientific reasoning to translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities; capable of presenting technical concepts to non‑technical audiences.
  • Collaboration: Proven experience working in cross‑functional teams, managing stakeholder expectations, and delivering projects on time.

Preferred Qualifications – What Sets You Apart

  • Master’s degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related field.
  • Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and data‑lake architectures.
  • Familiarity with Palantir Foundry or similar data‑integration platforms.
  • Exposure to big‑data technologies such as Hadoop, Kafka, or Spark Streaming.
  • Certifications in data engineering (e.g., Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer, AWS Certified Data Analytics).
  • Experience implementing data governance frameworks and data privacy compliance (GDPR, CCPA).

Core Skills & Competencies

  • Data‑pipeline orchestration (Airflow, Prefect, or similar)
  • Performance tuning of SQL queries and data warehouse workloads
  • Version control (Git) and collaborative development workflows
  • Strong analytical mindset with a focus on delivering business value
