As a Remote Supplier Industrialization & Data Entry Specialist you will be the critical bridge between arenaflex’s internal engineering, quality, and procurement teams and the external supplier ecosystem. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Supplier Industrialization Initiatives: Plan, coordinate, and drive industrialization projects across arenaflex’s supplier network, from initial concept through high‑volume production.
  • Develop and Optimize Manufacturing Processes: Create, review, and continuously improve supplier assembly and collection strategies, ensuring alignment with arenaflex’s design intent and production timelines.
  • Support New Product Introduction (NPI): Provide technical authority for NPI at supplier sites, guiding them through design for manufacturability (DFM) reviews, tooling qualification, and pilot runs.
  • Drive Cost, Quality, and Delivery Improvements: Lead initiatives that enhance supplier flexibility, reduce waste, and improve first‑time‑right quality using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Facilitate Cross‑Functional Communication: Act as the primary liaison between suppliers and arenaflex’s Purchasing, Quality, and Engineering groups, translating technical requirements into actionable supplier tasks.
  • Conduct Supplier Audits and Assessments: Perform rigorous supplier capability assessments, ensuring compliance with arenaflex’s performance, delivery, and quality standards.
  • Implement Continuous Improvement Programs: Champion Lean Assembly, First‑Pass Yield, and Kaizen events at supplier facilities to sustain long‑term performance gains.
  • Provide Technical Guidance on Materials and Processes: Offer expert input on material selection, manufacturability, and cost‑reduction opportunities for upcoming product lines.
  • Oversee Supplier Remediation Plans: Review and approve corrective actions, process changes, and cycle‑time adjustments to maintain consistent quality across all production lines.
  • Travel and On‑Site Support: Allocate 40‑60% travel time to supplier locations for hands‑on support, audits, and collaborative problem‑solving (travel may be short‑notice).

Essential Qualifications

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent proven experience.
  • Quality System Expertise: Demonstrated experience with PPAP, APQP, and other advanced quality planning processes.
  • Statistical Process Control (SPC) Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of SPC, GD&T, and data analysis techniques applied to manufacturing environments.
  • Lean Manufacturing Acumen: Hands‑on experience implementing Lean Assembly, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Supplier Development Experience: Track record of guiding suppliers through design for manufacturability, tooling qualification, and high‑volume production ramp‑up.
  • Project Management Skills: Ability to define, plan, and execute projects using recognized project management methodologies (e.g., PMI, Agile).
  • Communication Excellence: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of influencing stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Travel Flexibility: Willingness to travel up to 60% of the time, often with limited notice, to support supplier sites worldwide.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional certifications such as Six Sigma Black Belt, Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), or Project Management Professional (PMP).
  • Experience in high‑volume stamping, metal forming, coating, or paint processes.
  • Background in automotive, aerospace, or renewable‑energy supply chains.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  • Fluency in a second language, especially Mandarin, German, or Spanish, to facilitate global supplier interactions.
