Your work will directly impact the efficiency of enrollment processes, the accuracy of benefit administration, and ultimately the experience of thousands of members who rely on seamless service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Enter eligibility data and update member records across multiple technology platforms with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.
  • Terminate member records in eligibility programs when members become ineligible, ensuring all related data fields are correctly closed.
  • Process annual enrollment changes for assigned groups, including additions, deletions, and modifications to benefit selections.
  • Assign unique member identification numbers (UIDs) and verify that each UID aligns with internal tracking standards.
  • Review and audit daily Eligibility, Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM), Flexible Spending Account (FSA), and COBRA transaction and maintenance reports to detect discrepancies.
  • Analyze eligibility audit reports, determine necessary member updates, and execute corrective actions promptly.
  • Identify transaction‑related processing errors, document root causes, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to implement preventive measures.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of data entry procedures, audit findings, and corrective actions for internal compliance reviews.
  • Participate in regular training sessions and knowledge‑sharing meetings to stay current with evolving eligibility regulations and platform enhancements.
  • Provide timely support to internal stakeholders and external partners when data inquiries arise, ensuring a high level of customer service.

Essential Qualifications

  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent is required; a bachelor’s degree is highly preferred, especially in Business Administration, Health Information Management, or a related field.
  • Experience: Proven data entry experience, preferably within a healthcare, insurance, or benefits administration environment.
  • Technical Skills: Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data validation techniques.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills to convey data‑related findings clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Attention to Detail: Demonstrated ability to spot errors, maintain data integrity, and follow strict procedural guidelines.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize workload, and meet tight deadlines in a fast‑paced remote setting.

Preferred Qualifications & Additional Skills

  • Experience with eligibility management systems such as EPIC, Cerner, or similar platforms.
  • Familiarity with healthcare terminology, insurance plans, and regulatory frameworks (e.g., HIPAA, ACA).
  • Advanced Excel capabilities, including macros, VBA scripting, or Power Query.
  • Exposure to data quality tools and audit software.
  • Previous remote work experience, demonstrating self‑discipline and effective virtual collaboration.
  • Certification in data management or health information (e.g., RHIT, CHDA) is a plus.

Core Competencies for Success

  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to interpret data trends, recognize patterns, and propose actionable improvements.
  • Problem‑Solving: Proactive approach to identifying root causes of data discrepancies and implementing sustainable solutions.
  • Team Collaboration: Comfortable working with cross‑functional teams, including IT, compliance, and client services, in a virtual environment.
  • Adaptability: Flexibility to adjust to evolving processes, new software tools, and shifting regulatory requirements.
  • Integrity & Confidentiality: Commitment to safeguarding sensitive member information and adhering to privacy standards.
