Shopify Developer (Ongoing Work) – Must Be Structured, Reliable & Detail-Oriented

I’m looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Shopify developer to support ongoing work on an established store. This is not a one-off task — I need someone I can work with long-term who takes ownership, communicates clearly, and delivers properly tested work. IMPORTANT – PLEASE READ BEFORE APPLYING I’ve worked with multiple developers before and had issues with Poor communication Incomplete or rushed work Fixes that create new problems Lack of testing before handover If this sounds like your working style, this role is not for you. What I Need Fixing bugs and issues (including theme-related and custom code) Supporting updates to a custom product selector tool Identifying root causes (not just quick fixes) Making changes without breaking existing functionality Clear explanation of what’s been done How I Work (Non-Negotiable) You must explain your approach before starting work All changes must be tested properly before completion No “quick fixes” that cause future issues Clear communication — no disappearing mid-task Work must be clean, stable, and maintainable Requirements Strong experience with Shopify (themes, Liquid, apps, custom code) Ability to debug properly (not trial and error) Experience working on live stores without breaking functionality Good written English Available for ongoing work To Apply – YOU MUST INCLUDE A brief explanation of how you approach debugging an issue An example of a complex issue you fixed (and how you fixed it) Confirmation you test your work before completion The word “STRUCTURED” at the top of your application Nice to Have (Not Essential) Experience with custom product builders/selectors Understanding of performance optimisation Experience with conversion-focused stores Budget Open — based on experience and reliability Final Note I’m not looking for the cheapest option — I’m looking for someone reliable who gets things right the first time.
