In this role, you will manage financial transactions, perform reconciliations, and assist with monthly and yearly accounting tasks. Key Responsibilities
- Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for multiple clients
- Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements, credit card transactions, and other financial accounts
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections
- Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports
- Invoicing & Billing: Generate invoices, track payments, and ensure proper documentation of transactions
- Tax Preparation: Assist with preparing for tax filings and work with accountants to ensure compliance
- Software Management: Use Xero, QuickBooks, and other accounting software to track financial data and generate reports
- Client Communication: Communicate regularly with clients regarding their financial accounts and provide support when needed
Qualifications & Requirements
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Proficiency in Xero, QuickBooks, and other accounting software
- Experience with bank reconciliations, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll
- Ability to manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of bookkeeping
- Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Solid understanding of tax regulations and financial compliance
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently in a remote setting
