Why This Role Matters – Keep Climbing with arenaflex

This entry‑level role offers a clear pathway for growth, mentorship from seasoned professionals, and the chance to develop a skill set that is highly transferable across the aviation industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Load, unload, and transport baggage, mail, and cargo safely between the aircraft and the terminal, using manual techniques and powered ground equipment.

  • Operate ground support equipment—including tugs, belt loaders, and tow tractors—safely in congested ramp environments.
  • Utilize baggage scanners and computer systems to verify routing accuracy, ensuring each item reaches its intended destination.
  • Perform routine safety checks on equipment, report any hazards, and adhere to all arenaflex safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with fellow ramp crew members, flight crews, and terminal staff to maintain a seamless flow of operations.
  • Adapt to shifting schedules, working early mornings, evenings, or overnight shifts based on operational demand.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper stacking of bags weighing up to 70 pounds.
  • Participate in ongoing training sessions, safety drills, and performance feedback loops to continuously improve efficiency.

Essential Qualifications (Minimum Requirements)

  • Minimum age of 18 years and legal authorization to work in the United States.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Proficiency in English—both spoken and written.
  • Ability to pass a Physical Ability Test (PAT) that assesses lifting, bending, and endurance capabilities.
  • Commitment to wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE) such as hearing protection, safety‑toe footwear, head protection, and high‑visibility apparel.
  • Demonstrated focus on safety and security for self, teammates, and sensitive data.
  • Willingness to work in diverse weather conditions, including heat, rain, snow, and high winds.

Preferred Qualifications (Competitive Edge)

  • Previous experience in a fast‑paced, physically demanding environment (e.g., warehouse, logistics, or hospitality).
  • Familiarity with basic computer operations and baggage handling software.
  • Strong customer‑service orientation and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Certification in forklift or ground equipment operation (preferred but not required).
