This role involves handling litigation, charges, and demand letters related to employment and labor law. The position requires a commitment of 1850 hours annually. Duties
- Defend and litigate lawsuits involving a broad range of employment-related claims and agency charges.
- Advise, counsel, and train employers on various employment and labor law issues.
- Represent employers in court or arbitration, before administrative agencies, and at mediations in employment matters.
Requirements
- JD from an ABA-accredited law school with excellent academic credentials.
- 4+ years of experience handling California employment litigation for Associate role consideration.
- 9+ years of relevant California experience for Of Counsel level, with first chair capacity.
- Admission to the CA state bar and compliance with ethical requirements.
- Understanding of current agency (state and federal) procedures.
Education
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.
Certifications
- Admission to the California State Bar.
