About the Role
As a Nursing Instructor at Concorde Career Colleges, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the academic and professional journeys of our students. Your primary responsibilities will include delivering high-quality instruction in various settings, including classrooms, labs, clinical environments, and online platforms. You'll also serve as a role model, guiding students in developing their skills, knowledge, and professional conduct.
Key Responsibilities
Instructional Duties: Teach classes as assigned, ensuring engaging and effective learning experiences for students. Prepare for classes by organizing and familiarizing yourself with student materials. Develop and implement lesson plans and course materials as required. Objectively assess student performance and provide constructive feedback. Utilize instructional plans and approved student materials, supplementing as necessary. Ensure the security of assessment tools and confidential documentation. Effectively monitor and utilize learning management systems. Student Interaction: Maintain a conducive learning environment, promoting professionalism and respect. Provide regular feedback to students on their academic performance, grades, and conduct. Proactively identify and address student concerns, referring them to Program Directors or Academic Deans as needed. Accurately maintain student records, grades, and attendance. Facilitate tutoring and makeup work, ensuring student participation and progress. Related Duties: Participate in ongoing faculty development activities, including Continuing Education Units (CEUs) as required. Attend workshops, seminars, and meetings to enhance instructional and professional skills. Assist with preparations for graduation ceremonies and participate in student and campus activities. Maintain classrooms, equipment, and technology, reporting any issues to Program Directors or Academic Deans. Contribute to a positive campus culture, demonstrating a professional, enthusiastic, and positive attitude.
Essential Qualifications
To excel in this role, you'll need: A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree; a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) is preferred. A minimum of 3 years of RN clinical experience within the past 5 years. An active and unencumbered RN license in the state of Oregon. Teaching experience is preferred, although not mandatory.

Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary, with pay up to $50 per hour depending on education and experience. Additionally, you'll receive a $1,000 sign-on bonus.
