[Remote] Instructional Design Assistant (OPS), Office of Human Resources

They are seeking an Instructional Design Assistant to support the design and development of training courses, collaborating with the team to deliver high-quality learning experiences.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of current training programs and online content to increase engagement and knowledge retention
- Provide recommendations for course interface design, architecture, navigation, and content arrangement
- Craft instructional design documents for review, revision, and implementation
- Support the design and production of e-learning sites within the context of personal and organizational development, utilizing content authoring technology, graphic design tools, and other e-learning software
- Review and apply emerging trends in e-learning, instructional design, universal design, and accessibility
- Design course materials that reflect an understanding of adult learning theory and varied learning styles
- Work with internal subject matter experts (SMEs) to develop new content and/or convert existing content into online formats
- Ensure outstanding customer service is provided to all internal and external customers
- Utilize Microsoft Office applications and eLearning authoring tools to prepare documents and presentations
Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One year of instructional design or curriculum development work experience
- Individuals who live in the Tallahassee area and can report to campus as needed
- 1 - 2 years of instructional design or curriculum development work experience
- Experience utilizing Articulate Rise, Storyline, Adobe Creative Suite, and video development software
- Strong enthusiasm for creating high-quality online courses and engaging learning experiences
- Proven ability to work effectively both collaboratively and independently
- Commitment to delivering a positive customer experience
- Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new technology
- Excellent follow-through, attention to detail, and organizational skills
- Understanding of instructional design principles and adult learning theories
Benefits
- This position is up to 20 hours per week between the hours of 8:00 am and 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
- This position has been designated as eligible for remote work based on the current position/job function.
