[Remote] Executive VP, Business Development

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Propel Health is a leading partner to the biopharmaceutical industry, providing integrated services across various sectors. The Executive VP, Business Development will be responsible for driving new revenue growth by building relationships with biotech and pharmaceutical companies, leveraging strong industry knowledge and consultative selling skills to close high-value deals.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, qualify, and secure new business opportunities across Propel Health’s services (speakers bureau, promotional agency, patient engagement, and medical affairs)
  • Work with cross-functional teams to develop tailored pitches and proposals that demonstrate value for both small biotech (first-time launchers) and large pharmaceutical accounts
  • Lead contract negotiations and close multi-million-dollar agreements that drive long-term growth
  • Map decision-makers and influencers within target accounts, from clinical development through commercial functions
  • Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders (Medical Affairs, Commercial, Marketing, Compliance, Patient Advocacy)
  • Stay ahead of industry trends and client pipelines to position Propel Health as a strategic partner
  • Partner with internal business unit leads to package cross-functional solutions that address client challenges
  • Ensure seamless hand-off to delivery teams while staying engaged as a senior relationship manager
  • Provide market intelligence and feedback to inform service innovation and corporate strategy
  • Consistently meet or exceed revenue targets and sales KPIs
  • Represent Propel Health at industry conferences, networking forums, and client meetings
  • Contribute to thought leadership and elevate Propel Health’s brand visibility in the marketplace

Skills

  • 10+ years of business development or client services experience in the biopharma services industry (agency, CRO, medical communications, consulting, or related)
  • Demonstrated track record of selling into both small biotech and top-20 pharmaceutical companies
  • Strong knowledge of at least two of Propel Health's service areas (medical affairs, promotional agency/creative, patient engagement, speakers bureau)
  • Excellent consultative selling, negotiation, and closing skills
  • Established network of senior contacts in biotech and pharma
  • Highly motivated self-starter with ability to work independently while collaborating across internal teams
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree (MBA, life sciences, or related) a plus
