[Remote] Technical Sales Manager - Southwest Territory

They are seeking a Technical Sales Manager for the Southwest Territory to achieve sales and profitability goals while expanding the customer base and managing complex customer projects.

Responsibilities

  • Grow and expand the existing key account customer base in alignment with company objectives
  • Identify and expand opportunities for repeatable, consumable-based business within the territory
  • Manage complex customer projects by coordinating cross-functional internal resources to address customer application challenges
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop proposed sales terms and conditions, and communicate and negotiate these with customers in alignment with company approved guidelines
  • Partner closely with the Technical Services department and other internal stakeholders throughout the sales process to ensure customer needs are effectively addressed
  • Utilize market insights and industry knowledge to develop and execute a goal-oriented territory plan focused on promoting Computype’s products and services within key markets
  • Maintain accurate and timely reporting of territory activity through Salesforce, including but not limited to forecasts, key account profiles, and sales call reports
  • Prepare and present RFQ resource requests that clearly communicate business needs, proposed approaches, alignment with Computype’s core competencies, and customer value
  • Actively participate in annual sales forecasting and ongoing forecast updates, providing accurate information and rationale for changes; communicate updates to the Finance and Customer Service teams as needed throughout the year
  • Support the implementation and communication of approved pricing programs and adjustments, including annual price changes
  • Strategically plan and execute overall sales strategy within the assigned territory to maximize effectiveness and produce sales results; carefully plan each sales presentation by anticipating customer needs and or objections and the response to best close each opportunity
  • Execute the territory plan to meet or exceed sales goals
  • Utilize strategic selling acumen and listening skills to uncover customer needs and opportunities; deliver clear, concise, relevant messaging to target audiences and provide solutions to customers and prospects to drive desired outcomes and close the sale
  • Employ solution-selling techniques to identify business needs, and develop customized solutions to solve client business problems
  • Understand competitors' strengths and weaknesses and effectively articulate and execute sales by highlighting Computype’s competitive advantage
  • Demonstrate effective sales closing techniques in securing profitable business
  • Prospect and open new key accounts

Skills

  • College degree
  • 4+ years of experience in B2B technical or solution-based sales within industrial, manufacturing, or life sciences markets
  • Demonstrated history of meeting or exceeding sales quotes and driving revenue growth
  • Ability to travel a minimum of 50% of time and work from a remote home office in the geography
  • Must be a self-starter having demonstrated effective time management skills and the ability to work independently
  • Must have superior presentation, organization and communication skills
  • Strong commitment to quality service
  • Demonstrated ability in the management of large accounts
