[Remote] Human Resources Manager - Cedar Rapids, IA

The Human Resources Manager will support leaders and colleagues at the Cedar Rapids facility by driving human capital initiatives, managing performance, and enhancing colleague engagement. This role requires strategic leadership and collaboration across various HR functions to align HR strategies with business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Provide consultative support and partnership to the leaders and colleagues at the Cedar Rapids, IA Corn Plants and CoGenerational facility
  • Lead activities and ensure successful achievement of objectives related to colleague engagement, workforce management, performance management, talent development, succession planning, diversity and inclusion, communications, and change management
  • Impact overall business performance and colleague engagement by providing strategic, creative, and collaborative leadership across assigned facilities and positions
  • Diagnose issues and opportunities proactively and take necessary action to bring timely resolution
  • Influence operations leaders and build strong, cross-functional relationships

Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and work experience in a related field)
  • 6 years of HR experience with increasing levels of responsibility with at least 4 years of experience as HR generalist experience across multiple disciplines (e.g., workforce planning talent acquisition, career development) while interpreting and applying HR policies, procedures, programs and processes
  • In leadership capacity with or without direct report responsibility
  • In a cross-functional team environment with exempt and non-exempt staff
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Required to work a flexible schedule that meets the needs of the assigned facilities
  • May be asked to work mornings, afternoons, nights, and/or weekends based on the needs of the facility
  • Must work on-site at the manufacturing facility which will have physical and environmental aspects associated with such environment
  • 3 years' experience managing a cross-functional team with exempt and non-exempt staff in union and non-union capacities
  • Masters Degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field
  • 2 years' experience working in multiple locations
  • 1 year in leadership capacity with or without direct report responsibility
  • Experience developing, adapting, and/or facilitating training
  • Experience actively serving as a strategic business partner for other parts of the organization
  • Relevant professional certifications (e.g. Professional in Human Resources)
  • Experience in a manufacturing, distribution, or warehouse line of business
