[Remote] Senior/ Staff Software Engineer (Ruby/Full-Stack)

They are seeking exceptional Senior and Staff Software Engineers to develop new features and enhance existing solutions for their platform, ensuring high quality in production systems while collaborating with a talented group of engineers and product teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop new features and enhance existing solutions for the platform
• Ensure the highest quality in production systems
• Help scale the virtual-first healthcare delivery infrastructure
• Collaborate with a talented group of engineers and product teams
• Take ownership of feature development, from concept through to deployment
• Lead technical projects and provide guidance to junior engineers
• Optimize the platform to enhance the user experience for healthcare customers

Skills

• 6+ years of recent experience shipping Rails applications in production environments
• Familiarity in working with monolithic, service-oriented, or microservice architectures
• Proficient with Rails, React, TypeScript, GraphQL, Postgres, and Redis
• Hands-on experience managing production stacks in Ruby and Rails
• Deep understanding of best practices in coding standards, complexity reduction, refactoring, schema design, and Domain-Driven Design
• Experience with testing frameworks such as RSpec and Capybara
• Skilled in writing unit tests, higher-level tests, and structuring codebases for optimal maintainability and bug prevention
• Provide technical leadership, guiding a development team in delivering efficient solutions
• Thrive in a collaborative environment and actively participate in code reviews, cross-functional project planning, and mentoring engineers
• Passion for healthcare and belief in improving patient outcomes
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts in a clear and understandable manner
• Strong interpersonal skills and work well in a remote-first environment
• Highly focused on delivering results with a bias toward execution
