[Remote] Engineering Project Manager

DSJ Global is partnered with an industry leading food manufacturing organization seeking a remote Engineering Project Manager for their Engineering team. The role involves overseeing capital and process improvement projects, managing safety, scope, budget, timelines, and collaboration across multiple plant locations.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage engineering projects from initiation through execution and close‑out
- Develop detailed project plans including scope, timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies
- Provide technical guidance and coordinate with internal teams across engineering, manufacturing, quality, and operations
- Collaborate with external partners such as equipment suppliers, contractors, and engineering service providers
- Monitor project performance, identify issues, and implement corrective actions to maintain schedule and budget
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., USDA, FDA)
- Prepare and deliver routine project updates, status reports, and milestone communication to stakeholders
- Promote continuous improvement, innovation, and best practices within engineering and project teams
- Manage multiple concurrent projects across various plant locations
- Maintain a strong commitment to safety protocols and safe project execution across all sites
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or 8+ years of equivalent project leadership experience in food, pharmaceutical, or CPG manufacturing
- Minimum 4 years of engineering project leadership experience within a regulated manufacturing environment (food, pharma, or CPG)
- Proven success managing capital or technical projects of $10M+ in scope
- Ability to travel up to 50% based on project needs; must reside within reasonable proximity to a major airport
