Position Summary

The Retail Customer Service Associate at arenaflex is the front‑line ambassador who consistently delivers a positive, consultative customer experience. You will leverage deep product knowledge across print, signs, graphics, and shipping services to anticipate needs, suggest alternatives, and provide tailored solutions. This role blends hands‑on equipment operation, order management, and retail support, ensuring each customer leaves the store confident and satisfied.

Key Responsibilities

People & Team Collaboration

  • Follow the guidance of supervisors and assist teammates in daily store functions, fostering a collaborative atmosphere.
  • Participate actively in onboarding and training of new store associates, sharing best practices and product expertise.
  • Contribute ideas during team meetings to improve workflow, customer interaction, and store presentation.

Customer Service Excellence

  • Demonstrate consultative behaviors to understand each customer’s unique requirements, whether they need a quick print job or a complex signage project.
  • Provide expert guidance on arenaflex’s print, sign, graphics, and shipping product lines, recommending the most appropriate services.
  • Resolve customer issues swiftly and to the customer’s satisfaction, turning challenges into opportunities for loyalty.
  • Accurately capture complex orders using the store’s order management system, ensuring pricing, turnaround times, and specifications are clearly communicated.
  • Prepare parcels for shipment: wrap items, select appropriate containers, weigh packages, and affix labels in compliance with carrier standards.
  • Operate and maintain printing, binding, and finishing equipment, handling customer‑supplied media with precision and care.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized retail environment that reflects arenaflex’s brand standards.

Operational & Profit Responsibilities

  • Safeguard the confidentiality of customer data, handling documents, media, and packages with the utmost discretion.
  • Process financial transactions through the Point‑of‑Sale (POS) system, including cash handling, credit card processing, and accurate change making.
  • Perform routine cleaning, repairs, and restocking of printing and shipping equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Stay current on merchandising displays, ensuring promotional materials and signage are presented attractively and accurately.
  • Take proactive steps to prevent errors, reduce waste, and improve operational efficiency.
  • Complete daily financial paperwork, assist with sales reporting, close‑outs, and bank deposits as required.
  • Adhere to arenaflex standard operating procedures, as well as legal, HR, safety, customer service, and security policies.

  • Juggle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining high quality and attention to detail.

Essential Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in business, communications, or a related field is a plus.
  • Minimum of 6 months of specialized retail or customer‑service experience, preferably in a print, signage, or shipping environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information in an easy‑to‑understand manner.
  • Physical ability to stand for the duration of a shift, lift up to 55 lb, and perform frequent bending, twisting, and reaching.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment while maintaining composure and professionalism.
  • Strong attendance record and reliability, with a commitment to adhering to established business hours.
