Position Overview

This is a 12‑month contract‑to‑hire opportunity based in Texas, with a fully remote work arrangement. The role is full‑time (40 hours per week) and requires open availability to work any shift, including overtime, weekends, and holidays. You will join a dynamic, 7‑day‑a‑week operation that processes thousands of faxes and keystrokes daily, ensuring that authorization requests move swiftly through the system.

Key Shift Hours (Central Standard Time)

  • Monday – Friday: 6 am – 7 pm
  • Saturday: 7 am – 5 pm
  • Sunday: 7:30 am – 4:30 pm

Core Responsibilities

  • Data Entry & System Maintenance: Accurately input authorization requests, referrals, and related medical information into arenaflex’s utilization management platform.
  • Fax Management: Receive, triage, and route incoming faxes to the appropriate internal teams within arenaflex, ensuring delivery within 1‑2 hours of receipt.
  • Documentation Support: Assist the utilization management team by tracking authorizations, updating status, and maintaining compliance with policies and guidelines.
  • Medical Information Capture: Document essential clinical details—history, diagnosis, prognosis—so that clinical reviewers can make informed decisions.
  • Quality Assurance: Review entries for accuracy, correct errors as indicated, and uphold the highest standards of data integrity.
  • Process Improvement: Contribute ideas to streamline intake, reduce turnaround times, and enhance overall workflow efficiency.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Work closely with teams handling Concurrent Review, Behavioral Health, Medicare, and other specialty lines to ensure seamless information flow.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay current on healthcare authorization policies, medical terminology, and industry best practices.

Performance Metrics & Expectations

  • Process 3,500–4,000 faxes per day, delivering them to the correct internal team within the required 1‑2 hour window.
  • Achieve 10,000 keystrokes per hour (equivalent to 50‑60 WPM), maintaining speed without sacrificing accuracy.
  • Maintain a 99% accuracy rate on data entry tasks, as measured by internal quality audits.
  • Demonstrate punctuality, reliability, and a proactive attitude in a high‑volume, fast‑paced environment.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required).
  • Demonstrated typing speed of 60+ WPM (verified via a typing test attached to your resume).
  • Ability to sustain 10,000 alphanumeric keystrokes per hour while maintaining data accuracy.
  • Open availability to work any shift, including weekends and holidays.
  • Strong punctuality and reliability record.
  • Entry‑level candidates are welcome; high school graduates or individuals with retail experience are encouraged to apply.
  • Basic familiarity with medical terminology and insurance processes is preferred but not mandatory.

Preferred Experience & Skills

  • 3 months to 1 year of data processing, clerical, or administrative experience.
