Remote Teacher for Deaf / Hard of Hearing in Schools | WFH

We invite passionate and qualified educators to apply for the position of Virtual Teacher within our Deaf and Hard of Hearing... program. Key Responsibilities Design and execute individualized education plans (IEPs) that cater to the specific needs of Deaf and Hard of Hearing students. Facilitate engaging virtual instruction across various subjects, employing appropriate modifications to enhance learning outcomes. Conduct 60-minute American Sign Language (ASL) lessons for the teaching team as scheduled, promoting a deeper comprehension of communication methodologies. Establish a supportive and inclusive online classroom environment that stimulates student participation and collaboration. Partner with parents, caregivers, and fellow educators to aid in student development and navigate any challenges encountered. Remain updated on emerging trends and effective practices in Deaf education and virtual teaching. Required Skills Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and/or other relevant communication strategies. Experience with online teaching platforms and virtual education methodologies. Strong awareness of Deaf culture and communication practices. Ability to craft and implement individualized education plans (IEPs). Qualifications Master's Degree in Education for Teaching Deaf Students. Washington State Certification in Deaf/Hard of Hearing education. A genuine enthusiasm for working with Deaf and Hard of Hearing students, coupled with a dedication to fostering an inclusive educational environment.
