Data Engineer - AWS, Remote, Flexible Hybrid

Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our dynamic data team. Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will have the autonomy to manage your workday while collaborating with a dedicated team passionate about data-driven outcomes. Your primary responsibilities will encompass: • Identifying and understanding customer requirements for data, facilitating the engineering of comprehensive database solutions. • Leveraging your expertise in database technologies and programming to construct and sustain effective data systems. • Ensuring the integration of data into user-centric formats while overseeing its governance in alignment with business objectives. • Evaluating new data sources, determining scalability, monitoring performance, and upholding data security. • Conducting preliminary data analyses and designing intuitive user interfaces to deliver significant insights to stakeholders. Required Skills • Strong proficiency in AWS services, including S3, Glue, DynamoDB, Redshift, and Lambda. • Solid programming experience with Python, SQL, SparkSQL, and PySpark. • Exceptional problem-solving capabilities coupled with outstanding written and verbal communication skills. • A collaborative mindset with the ability to work independently in an agile setting (Scrum/Kanban). Qualifications • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience with AWS services. • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience preferred. • A minimum of 4 years of experience in Big Data environments (Hadoop, AWS, Python) is advantageous. • Familiarity with Spark streaming and agile development methodologies is preferred. • Understanding of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles is a plus.
