Job Overview Join our esteemed team as an Advanced Math Summer Camp Instructor in a remote work-from-home capacity. We are looking for dedicated and passionate math educators who are driven to inspire and nurture the mathematical talents of students. This unique 3-week residential summer camp emphasizes the development of a strong conceptual understanding of mathematics and advanced problem-solving skills, tailored for students preparing for math competitions. Key Responsibilities • Deliver captivating and interactive math lessons in accordance with the camp’s curriculum, ensuring an engaging learning experience for every participant. • Foster a welcoming and inclusive classroom environment that promotes collaboration, active involvement, and critical thinking among students. • Track and assess student progress throughout the duration of the camp, providing constructive feedback to enhance their comprehension of mathematical concepts. • Assist in the seamless functioning of the camp, engaging in various activities such as check-in/check-out, study hall supervision, and seminars as required. Required Skills • Profound understanding of mathematical concepts and advanced problem-solving methodologies. • Proven experience teaching mathematics to students in grades 6-12. • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively engaging with students and fellow instructors. • A strong enthusiasm for motivating and inspiring students in a dynamic and interactive learning atmosphere. Qualifications • A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mathematics or a related STEM discipline (candidates pursuing or holding a graduate degree are highly favored). • Experience instructing math to students in the specified grade range, with familiarity with math contests such as AMC 8, AMC 10, AMC 12, and AIME.
