About the position The Data Collection Nurse position involves the retrieval, review, and abstraction of medical record data for specific quality measures. This role is essential for ensuring accurate data entry into quality program tools and requires collaboration with clinical and non-clinical staff. The position is hybrid, requiring local travel within the Chattanooga area, and is a contract role lasting from May 2023 to January 2024. Responsibilities • Responsible for retrieval, review, and abstraction of medical record data for STARS and HEDIS measures. , • Enter data into quality program tools. , • Perform on-site medical record reviews at physician offices or in the office. , • Collaborate with clinical and non-clinical staff regarding provider scheduling and on-site medical record retrieval. , • Utilize time and resources efficiently while performing duties in a professional manner. Requirements • Must have active RN or LPN license in the state of Tennessee or compact state. , • Knowledge and experience of HEDIS data abstraction methods highly preferred. , • Experience in medical record review or data abstraction if lacking HEDIS experience. , • Current valid driver's license and reliable transportation required. , • Ability to work independently with excellent organizational skills. , • Excellent telephone and communication skills required. , • Proven working knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
