About Us: We're a top-notch independent power producer and service provider with over 30 years in the game. We specialize in grid-scale power (wind, solar, storage), distribution-scale power, asset optimization, and onsite solutions. Role: Vice President of Development, Houston, TX Key Responsibilities: • Develop and execute multi-year utility-scale project plans. • Oversee regional development activities, managing a pipeline of 2-5GW. • Negotiate and finalize project studies, agreements, and permits. • Collaborate with various departments to support project progression. • Manage regional budget ($15-20M) and ensure project commercialization. • Approve purchase requests and expenses within spending limits. • Implement and supervise internal controls. Team Leadership: • Lead a high-performing team to identify and manage renewable energy projects. • Directly supervise 5 team members, with 20 under regional leadership. Working Conditions: • Hybrid three-day company work schedule when not traveling 25-50%. • You set and determine your travel schedule. • Engage in meetings virtually and in person for strategic planning, financial reviews, and more in Houston and at two other US offices. • Execellent relocation package. Qualifications: • 15+ years of development experience in utility scale power. • Experience directing large teams. • Bachelor's degree required: Business, Economics, Engineering, or Mathematics. MBA is a strong plus. • Deep knowledge of the energy sector, especially renewable energy. • Proven track record in closing renewable energy deals. • Strong existing relationships with utilities, developers, and government reps. • Excellent prioritization, communication, and organizational skills. • Quick adaptability to new tasks and dynamic environments.
