Job Description: As we expand our Prime Now program, we are dedicated to delivering the finest grocery delivery services at Whole Foods Market. As an In-Store Shopper, you'll be working cooperatively with the Store Support team to handle customer orders from Prime Now, which involves selecting and preparing products for delivery or collection. You'll be shopping for a wide range of goods, from food items to household necessities. Working on weekends is a crucial aspect of catering to our clients' requirements, and we need employees who are eager to be available during this period. We would prefer to hire Shoppers who possess the flexibility to work nights, weekends, and even holidays. Availability Requirements: • The team members are given their work schedule with a three-week prior notice • Averagely, shifts tend to last between 4 and 8 hours Job Requirements: • Mobile devices allow for seamless order fulfillment, providing greater comfort to the end-user • Precise and expedient execution of online orders is our top priority • Focused on details, maintaining precision in product and order management • It is vital to have a hunger for education regarding the products, customer service standards, and store operations • Being able to manage the staging area in a well-organized and orderly manner is a significant attribute • A willingness to work in different departments of the store as required, which may include helping customers, managing cash registers, and restocking shelves as necessary. Basic Qualifications: • You must possess the minimum age of 18 years as a mandatory condition • Aptitude for understanding and communicating in elementary English language • The capacity to lift up to 40 pounds, stand or walk continuously for at least 6 hours, and perform regular physical activities such as pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, and reaching, with or without accommodations, are essential aspects of this role • Whether through traditional schooling or alternative programs, a high school diploma or its equivalent is a crucial stepping stone towards success and opportunities The role involves specific physical requirements and conditions of employment: • It's imperative that you can handle a load of up to 50 pounds. • According to standard work practice, individuals spend a majority of their 8-hour day standing or walking, accounting for 6-8 hours, with the remaining hours spent sitting. • Pushing and pulling are also key actions that hands can perform, required for jobs like opening doors or pushing a shopping cart. • Work necessitates a range of bodily motions such as bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching in order to complete tasks. • Exposure to sanitizers that have received FDA clearance. • Freezing and refrigerated temperatures fall in different categories and have a unique impact on living beings. • Aptitude to be flexible with respect to working hours, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays when the job demands it. • Skilled in operating a variety of tools and equipment, including but not limited to box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery. • This work may involve the utilization of ladders. After finishing their first 90 days of work and maintaining their status as an active employee in a suitable position, new Team Members may be eligible for an increase in their starting pay.
