Job title: Senior Financial Accountant-Remote (Pacific/Mountain Time Zone) Company: Job description: The Senior Financial Accountant is a critical key position within the Group s finance team. The primary responsibility of this position is to perform and provide comprehensive accounting, finance and reporting functions, supporting the Group s operational accounting and finance. The role will include general ledger accounting, financial analysis, technical accounting, audit readiness, as well as supporting month/quarter/year-end financial close process. The role also includes assistance with cash management, new ERP implementation, as well as the opportunity to make significant contributions in processes improvement. The Senior Financial Accountant reports to the VP of Finance based out in the United States. Ideally, this remote position is based in the Pacific/Mountain Time Zone. In your role as the Senior Financial Accountant you will: • Research, prepare complex technical accounting memo, and propose accounting treatment as it relates to Leases (ASC 842), Internal-Use Software (ASC 350), Stock-based compensation (ASC 718), and any other technical accounting transactions. • Actively involved in the month/quarter/year-end close process, including preparation of consolidated financial statements. • Analyze group s financial statements, notes, and other relevant documents. • Support and liaise with external auditors on a timely basis. • Adhere to US GAAP financial accounting standards and guidelines. • Supporting the business in ERP implementation and management through effective use of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. • Assis in budgeting, forecasting, invoicing, and cost reduction opportunities. • Assist in the design and implementation of controls, processes, and policies for the Group. • Interface regularly and directly with various teams across the globe, with multiple time zone. • Prioritize multiple projects and deadlines at the same time. • Other duties as required by the manager of the role. We are looking for someone who: • Has a strong accounting and finance background, preferably with 5 to 6 years of mixed industry background, including public accounting (Big 4) experience • Holds a degree in finance or accounting and CPA qualified (or pursuing CPA qualification), with in-depth knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP) • Has extensive knowledge and experience in architecting global financial systems and processes in a technology startup environment, involving both software and hardware. • Has excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively present to and engage with a wide range of audiences, including the Big 4 accounting and tax firms • Is able to multitask, prioritize, and manage their time effectively and independently • Is ready to take on increasing responsibility over time and grow quickly • Intermediate to advanced keyboard skills (Microsoft Word and Excel) Essential work experience, qualifications and skills: • Experience using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. • Knowledge and/or experience using SQL, Microsoft Power BI. • Fast and accurate data entry skills Role Challenges/Additional Information • Interstate travel may be required • Position may require occasional work responsibilities outside of normal business hours to accommodate various time zones.
