MERCHANDISE ASSISTANT MANAGER

The role involves assisting with merchandising and freight processing tasks that have been delegated and assigned by the Store Manager. You will also assist with the hiring, training, and development of store associates as directed by the Store Manager. As part of your responsibilities, you will assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities as directed by the Store Manager. You will be able to perform all opening and closing procedures in the absence of the Store Manager and assist in protecting and securing all company assets, including store cash. Adhering to all policies and procedures, including safety guidelines, is essential. You will maintain a professional and friendly environment with customers, subordinates, and supervisors, and ensure that all areas of the store, including the stockroom and sales floor, meet company standards. When the Store Manager is not present, you will have direct supervisory responsibility for all hourly associates. You will process all SSC Corporate directives, including Pull and Hold/Destroy, Task Compliance, Key Survey information requests, and any additional communications related to store activities as delegated by the Store Manager. Additionally, you will assist the Store Manager with the receipt and return of DSD merchandise, follow VIP and DSD Policies and Procedures, and help manage freight flow. Meeting or exceeding productivity standards is expected, along with assisting in ordering and stocking all merchandise needs, including frozen and refrigerated items. You will also help maintain stockroom organization and ensure that the sales floor is sales effective on a daily basis, as well as assist in planning, merchandising, and maintaining Clip Strips and Power Panels with sales effective items.
