Freelance Over-the-Phone Interpreter Spanish-to-English Project Summary Lionbridge is seeking self-starting freelance Over-the-Phone Interpreters for ongoing interpretation projects across industries such as Legal, Healthcare, and Government. Over-the-Phone Interpreters for Lionbridge are responsible for handling calls on-demand to correctly identify and provide meaning in conversations between speakers of two different languages. What You Will Do ? Accept and take ownership of on-demand incoming calls and conversations, providing two-way interpretations. ? Identify the meaning of conversations across two different language types while remaining current, courteous, and professional on sensitive subjects across differing cultures and locations. ? Receive projects typically presented in the form of three-way calls, lasting roughly 10-30 minutes each during regular U.S. business hours. ? Receive training in industry terminology as well as common procedures and practices and apply… this knowledge in your role while on calls. To Be Successful You Will Have ? Advanced abilities in Spanish and English (spoken). ? Exceptional memory retention, note-taking, and communication skills in the appropriate language(s). ? The ability to complete and pass a language assessment in the languages you will be assigned to. ? Prior experience in Interpretation or Language Services is a plus, but not required.
