Job Overview We are seeking a diligent and skilled Accountant/Bookkeeper to be an integral part of our dynamic team within the construction services sector. Key Responsibilities • Oversee and maintain reconciliations for general ledger accounts across multiple entities. • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions efficiently. • Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports. • Execute monthly, quarterly, and annual closing procedures. • Ensure adherence to GAAP standards and regulatory compliance. • Support budget preparation and financial forecasting initiatives. • Monitor financial performance, providing insights into trends and variances. • Collaborate with external auditors during audit processes. • Establish and uphold internal controls to protect company assets. • Assist in tax return preparations and necessary regulatory filings. • Contribute to financial analysis and special projects as required. Required Skills • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and advanced Excel capabilities. • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. • Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy. • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to thrive both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Qualifications • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory. • A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping, preferably within the construction services industry. • Experience in owner financial reporting is advantageous.
