Job title: ACT Test Prep Instructor (C) Company: Educational Testing Consultants Job description : Educational Testing Consultants, Inc. is seeking instructors to teach ACT preparation classes to be held in partnership with the University of South Florida Upward Bound program in Tampa. Successful candidates will possess proof of exceptional scores on standardized tests, previous teaching or public speaking experience, and availability to teach on weekends during the school year and/or weekdays during the summer. BachelorÂs degree is preferred. These ACT classes are targeted toward Upward Bound students. Class sessions are presented using PowerPoint modules in conjunction with associated textbooks and study aids. The PowerPoint course materials have been created by experienced test preparation instructors and former test item writers, so no curriculum development will be required with the position. Instructors will need to deliver both math and verbal content. Each position involves teaching 4-5 courses per year, with each course consisting of 16-20 face-to-face hours of classroom instruction. Preference will be given to candidates who appear likely to hold a position for two or more years. Pay rate begins at $40 per hour of instruction.
