Job title: DEAN OF STUDENTS (.5 FTE POPE / .5 FTE HUNT) Company: Puyallup School District Job description : Location: This position will be a .5 FTE at Pope Elementary and a .5 FTE at Hunt Elementary Position: Dean of Students Rate: $109,942 - $120,712 (Depending on education and experience) Calendar: 200-Day Notes: 23/24 School Year Primary Responsibility: To assist the principal in implementing the educational goals of the Puyallup School District and to serve as the educational leader of the school program. Job Responsibilities: Provides instructional leadership and professional development to all staff members. Assists principal in developing a positive effective learning climate. Assists in maintaining student discipline and handles special cases as necessary. Assists with the evaluation of certificated staff members. Works on committees pertinent to the operation of the District. Supervises the reporting and monitoring of student attendance and works with the principal for investigative follow-up actions. Works with faculty in compiling the annual budget requests. Qualifications Required: Valid state certificated staff endorsement required. Master's degree in Educational Administration preferred. Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a classroom teacher preferred. Experience as an Assistant Principal or Principal preferred. Valid state certificate to practice as a school administrator preferred.
