Job Description

As a platform architect, you'll lead a new initiative to develop a service-oriented architecture for an existing high-traffic web application.

In your day-to-day, you will:

• Lead the design and implementation of a new service-oriented architecture

• Collaborate with teams to ensure seamless integration with OLAP, OLTP, and machine learning infrastructure

• Design and optimize scalable solutions for high-traffic web applications

• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members

• Ensure the platform meets performance, reliability, and scalability standards

This is a fully remote position.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in senior platform engineering roles

• Expert-level proficiency in Node.js and Python. Experience with JVM languages (Java, Scala) or PHP is a plus.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to understand the needs of teams responsible for OLAP, OLTP, and machine learning infrastructure.

• Proven experience in designing and implementing scalable service architectures. Bonus points for experience decoupling services from existing monolithic applications.

• Ability to work collaboratively across teams and disciplines.

The approximate base compensation is $155,000 - 185,000 CAD In addition to base pay you will receive company RSUs as part of the compensation package.

The final offer may vary and will be determined by various factors including location the role is expected to be performed, shift, candidate profile and ideal qualifications.
