Senior / Staff Software Engineer, Fullstack - Merchant Platform
Knot’s mission is to empower consumers and businesses alike with connected merchant and banking experiences. Knot is like “Plaid for merchant connectivity.” We are building the platform connecting merchants to the many applications that consumers and businesses interact with everyday. Our flagship CardSwitcher product allows consumers to instantly update & manage their cards on file with online merchant accounts (e.g. Netflix or PayPal), while newer products like TransactionLink support the retrieval of item-level transaction data. What you’ll doThis role will initially lean heavily towards backend development.
Work alongside a team to ship new features on Knot’s merchant connectivity platform, thereby setting a strong foundation to support the launch and growth of new products
Identify, scope, and lead large technical projects, laying the groundwork for nascent products to iteratively evolve and scale, and taming complexity and shoring up reliability of existing systems
Architect new and novel merchant integrations in Typescript and Python, finding creative ways to solve never-seen-before problems
Contribute to the API and other services in Laravel/PHP & Golang, as well as infrastructure where needed
Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes
Foster a culture of deep care for technical foundations that support industry-leading reliability and scalability.
5+ years of fullstack engineering experience.
Proficiency in Node/Typescript, Python, CloudSQL (or similar relational database).
Track record of shipping high-quality products at scale.
You excel in a rapidly growing organization and embrace challenging problems, tackling them directly and taking the initiative to lead the solution.
Eagerness to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and constantly grow & develop your craft.
Expert communication and ability to collaborate seamlessly with product teams.
Experience with Laravel/PHP, Golang, and/or infrastructure is a strong plus.
