Title : Senior Technical Architect – Messaging, APIs, Bash, and CI/CD Location: 100% Remote Duration: 12 months + possible extension Job Summary: We are seeking a Senior Technical Architect to lead the design and integration of robust, scalable, and secure distributed systems. This role requires expertise in Spring-JMS, JBOSS Messaging, and API management using Apigee Edge/X, as well as strong Linux/Unix scripting with Bash and hands-on CI/CD pipeline implementation. You’ll own end-to-end architectural design including database schema, ETL jobs, and integrations—ensuring system performance and security. You will collaborate with stakeholders, product owners, and engineering teams to define architectural strategies, mentor team members, and deliver mission-critical solutions aligned with business goals. Key Responsibilities: Architect messaging and API-based integration solutions using Spring-JMS and JBOSS Messaging. Design and configure API proxies in Apigee Edge/X. Develop Bash scripts for automation, scheduled jobs, and system administration. Lead CI/CD integration using tools like GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar. Define scalable database schemas (Oracle/PostgreSQL) and ensure optimized data access. Manage secure data flow and automation in Unix/Linux environments. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into architecture. Mentor developers and ensure code quality, security, and reusability. Monitor and refine system performance, cost optimization, and infrastructure resilience. Required Skills & Experience: 8+ years of experience in system development and architecture. Hands-on expertise with Spring-JMS, JBOSS Messaging, and Apigee (Edge/X). Strong Bash scripting and deep knowledge of Linux/Unix CLI tools (grep, awk, sed, cron, etc.). Proficiency in programming languages: Java, Python, JavaScript, or C#. Experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI). Proven ability to design and manage secure, performant data pipelines. Database proficiency: Oracle, PostgreSQL and strong SQL skills. Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
