Art Director

Job Summary The Art Director develops original creative concepts for film marketing campaigns that elevate brand awareness, generate ticket and food & beverage (F&B) conversions, and grow market share for AMC Theatres. This role is responsible for establishing the creative vision for film and F&B marketing efforts and ensuring that all visual and strategic elements are delivered with clarity, cohesion, and high impact. The Art Director represents the team during internal and external presentations. This position is based in Leawood, KS and is not eligible for relocation. What you will be doing:

• Create marketing and advertising materials that align with AMC’s brand strategy and campaign goals.
• Lead projects from concept through execution, guiding creative direction at each stage.
• Facilitate and contribute to brainstorming sessions and campaign presentations.
• Mentor and support the development of junior creative team members.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and provide direction to external vendors and agencies to ensure quality and consistency in creative execution.

What we need from you:

• Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
• Strong knowledge of marketing and branding principles, and the ability to translate strategy into impactful design solutions.
• Ability to lead creative projects from concept through production, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and campaign objectives.
• Ability to manage multiple creative projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining quality.
• High-level attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Strong verbal and visual presentation skills, with the ability to clearly articulate creative rationale to stakeholders.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, external partners, and third-party creatives.

What we also value (preferred):

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in advertising or a related degree from an art institute.
• A social-first creative mindset, with the ability to develop campaign assets that engage across digital and social platforms.
• Experience directing photo shoots to achieve campaign-specific visual goals.
• Ability to evolve concepts within AMC Theatres' brand identity and contribute to its ongoing creative growth.
• Experience providing strategic creative direction in a fast-paced marketing environment.
