Job Description:

As a substitute teacher, you will be responsible for carrying out the daily educational program when a teacher is absent. Your duties will include:

• Following and teaching lesson plans to ensure continuity of education
• Aiding students in understanding subject matter and providing individual support
• Maintaining a safe and orderly classroom environment
• Reporting any student injuries, illnesses, or serious discipline problems to school administration
• Performing additional duties as directed by school administration

Qualifications:

We require:

• Non-Certified: Minimum of 60 college credits and NJ Substitute Certification (our hiring coordinators can help you obtain this)
• Certified: Valid NJ CE, CEAS, or Standard Teacher Certification
• NJ Criminal History Letter and Tuberculosis test dated within 6 months from date of hire
• Proficiency in English (speaking, reading, writing)
