Position Overview

As a Live Online Instructor with ProTrain, you will be responsible for teaching Pharmacy Technician courses to students in a virtual classroom setting. This is a part-time, contracted position that requires a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician and 3-5 years of teaching experience. You must also have a strong understanding of the topics you will be teaching, which include:

• History of Medicine and Pharmacy
• Pharmacy Law, Ethics, and Regulatory Agencies
• Competencies, Associations, and Settings for Technicians
• Communication and Role of the Technician with the Customer/Patient
• Dosage Forms, and Routes of Administration
• Conversions and Calculations
• Drug Information References
• Pharmacy Practices
• Bulk Repackaging and Non-Sterile Compounding
• Aseptic Technique and Sterile Compounding
• Pharmacy Billing and Inventory Management
• Medications Safety and Error Prevention
• Therapeutic Agents
• Over-the-Counter (OTC) Medications
• Complementary and Alternative Medicine

Required Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must have:

• Minimum 3-5 years of teaching experience
• Teaching certification preferred
• Minimum 3 years of experience in the field of pharmacy technology
• Ability to adhere to a weekly class schedule
