Supplier Engagement Manager, Supply Chain Sustainability, Net Zero

Join Google's mission to foster sustainability at scale as a Supplier Engagement Manager, where you will play a pivotal role in driving transformational change and leading the company towards meeting its Scope 3 commitments and Net Zero GHG emissions goals.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to partner with key suppliers to define and execute Net Zero strategy, supporting and encouraging them to prioritize sustainability performance. As a trusted advisor, you will identify supplier Scope 3 hotspots and develop appropriate carbon reduction solutions, while socializing decarbonization best practices across the semiconductor sector.

Responsibilities

• Engage suppliers and influence them to embark on the decarbonization journey, enabling them to reduce supplier emissions.
• Review supplier decarbonization roadmaps and keep suppliers accountable to milestones, while supporting them to achieve their Net Zero commitments.
• Identify decarbonization best practices for the semiconductor sector and socialize with suppliers.
• Act as Sustainability and Net Zero Advisor for hardware, semiconductor, storage, memory, electromechanical components, or related fields.
• Identify programmatic ways to improve effectiveness and efficiency of the supplier engagement program across different tiers of the supplier base.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 7 years of experience in Environmental, Health and Safety, Environmental Process Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Sustainability, Procurement, Operations, or relevant areas.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in environmental science, engineering, sustainable business, or equivalent degree.
• Experience in implementing initiatives to improve sustainable manufacturing and/or operations.
• Experience in procurement lifecycle, Strategic Sourcing, Supplier Sourcing, Supplier Management, Vendor Management, or Purchasing at a global company.
• Experience working in hardware, semiconductor, storage, memory, electromechanical components, or related field.

What We Offer

• Competitive salary range: $142,000 - $152,000 per year.
