Job Overview:

We are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Recreation Leader to join our team in Sacramento, CA. As a Recreation Leader, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of individuals with physical, intellectual, and developmental disabilities. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and assist with indoor and outdoor recreation activities, such as arts and crafts, games, sports, and social events
  • Provide support and encouragement to participants, promoting enthusiasm and creating positive experiences
  • Assist with organizing socials, tournaments, dances, festivals, camping trips, and special events
  • Prepare program materials, announcements, and bulletins to promote activities
  • Provide personal care and support to participants, including feeding, bathroom needs, and lifting, as needed

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • No prior experience necessary - we provide training and support
  • Ability to speak and write effectively, and establish positive relationships with participants and colleagues
  • Basic first aid knowledge and ability to demonstrate patience, energy, and enthusiasm
  • Must be at least 18 years old and pass a physical exam, background check, and tuberculosis screening test
