We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Assistant Learning Coach (Teacher) and Student Aide to work with students in grades 3rd-8th. As a KaiPod Learning Coach, you will have the opportunity to create a safe and engaging learning environment, support students with their academics, and build strong relationships with families.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and create a positive student culture, supporting students with their academics and social-emotional needs
  • Develop strong relationships with students, families, and colleagues
  • Provide personalized coaching and support to students, including goal setting, check-ins, and individualized instruction
  • Create opportunities for socialization and community building
  • Support students with executive functioning skills, such as time management and organization
  • Collaborate with families and colleagues to ensure student success

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • At least 2 years of teaching experience (preferred)
  • Experience working with neurodiverse students and/or other experience working with young people (e.g., coaching, tutoring)
  • Familiarity with state learning standards and ability to support students with core content areas (ELA, math, science, and social studies)
  • Tech-savvy and able to navigate multiple learning platforms and curricula

Schedule and Compensation

  • 25-30 hours per week, with flexibility to work in-person and remotely
  • Competitive salary: $35.00 per hour
  • Location: 17 Lincoln St, Newton, MA 02461
