Position Summary:

As a 5th/6th Grade ELAR Teacher at Huntsville Classical Academy, you will facilitate learning and inspire students to reach their full potential. You will work closely with parents and students to develop competencies and skills necessary for success in society. Your expertise in ELAR will enable you to create engaging lesson plans, assess student progress, and provide targeted support to ensure academic achievement.

Qualifications:

• Texas State Teacher's Certification as Elementary Generalist or Elementary Self-Contained Teacher
• Bachelor's degree with a passing score on an ExCET/TExES Exam in grade level or content area to be taught
• Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education or a related field
• Experience in classical education or traditional teaching methods (preferred)

Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Passion for students and ELAR instruction
• Strong knowledge of classical education and ELAR curriculum
• Ability to model virtue and teach virtue through the curriculum
• Excellent organizational, time management, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work interactively with students, parents, and colleagues

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Prepare effective lessons and instruct students in ELAR
• Assess student progress and provide academic interventions as needed
• Maintain accurate records and communicate with parents
• Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and community events
