Optavise, a CNO Financial Group Company, is seeking a visionary Director, Development to lead the development of multiple platforms and applications. As a key member of our team, you will design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain a wide range of solutions that meet the evolving needs of our business and customers.

As a Director, Development, you will direct and manage a team of Developers, Project Managers, Engineers, and other professionals, driving the development and implementation of technology that aligns with Optavise's strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze existing technology for efficiency and accuracy, identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with project managers and leaders to measure system and resource use, ensuring optimal allocation.
  • Develop or upgrade technology to support business growth and customer needs.
  • Work closely with Delivery, Marketing, and Product teams to define and deliver new products and enhancements.
  • Ensure quality control by establishing technical standards and guidelines.
  • Advise Optavise leadership on timely investments in new technology.
  • Communicate the outcomes of implementing new technology to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work with customers to understand their needs and preferences, driving product improvements.
  • Foster a high-performing research and development team.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments, anticipating emerging trends and opportunities.
  • Prepare cost-benefit analyses for IT workflow changes, ensuring informed decision-making.
  • Suggest hardware and software upgrades to improve operations, consistency, and budgetary success.
  • Oversee the management of Optavise software product offerings, from requirements definition to maintenance.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or 8 years of equivalent experience.
  • 7-10 years of experience in solution architecture, software development, and benefits administration, including at least 5 years of management experience.
