About the Position

The Account Manager for Retail SMB Business Sales at Verizon is responsible for delivering exceptional customer experiences and driving sales growth through solutions-based selling. This role involves engaging with customers in-store, digitally, and through outbound prospecting, as well as mentoring retail sales representatives to achieve business results. Key Responsibilities

  • Introduce small and medium-sized business customers to 5G products and services, demonstrating the value of our solutions and driving sales growth.
  • Engage with customers through multiple channels, including in-store, digital, and outbound prospecting, to build strong relationships and identify new business opportunities.
  • Mentor retail sales representatives to achieve business results and drive sales growth through the retail channel.
  • Utilize solutions-based selling techniques to address business problems and deliver exceptional customer experiences.
  • Conduct outbound sales prospecting and customer visits to grow the customer base and retain existing accounts.
  • Use sales enablement systems and tools to track, forecast, and manage the sales pipeline, ensuring accurate sales forecasting and pipeline management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Three or more years of relevant work experience in sales, marketing, or customer service.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field or relevant certifications/college courses.
  • Outside sales experience, including outbound prospecting, with a proven track record of exceeding sales quotas.
  • Wireless sales experience and the ability to influence a team to drive sales results.
  • Excellent people skills, including influencing, negotiating, and conflict resolution.
